All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Falcon sure lived up to it's reputation last Tuesday. I stopped counting bass at 22. I know I caught around 50 in about 6 hrs. The biggest fish I landed was 4 1/2 lbs. but had one at least twice that big break off after tangling me around some brush. That fish jumped and I about crapped my pants. I only caught one fish shorter than 15". The average was 3 lbs scale weighed. This Missouri Hillbilly had the time of my life.
Only problem I had, I got all the way to Falcon with no spinner baits and had left my butt seat in Missouri. I stopped and bought 3 spinner baits, ( money is kind of short at the moment and besides that, I've got a whole box of spinner baits back home), but only used the white one with a red hook and a willow leaf blade till that big bass took it with him. Used watermelon worms the rest of the trip.
I'm hoping to go back Friday with a guy I met at the RV Park I'm staying at here in Weslaco. This Missouri boy is hooked on Falcon!
Like me for what I am, or don't like me at all.

Alwims you are right about the low number of true dinks and you will not catch many and in fact they are sometimes harder to catch than a 6 lber on Falcon. I have been going down there from San Antonio quite a bit the last couple of years and could count the number of under 14" fish I have caught on one hand. The next time you get where you are catching numbers of 3 to 4 lbers try going to the biggest soft plastics you got like Mag Fluke, Mag Speed worms or monster worms and slow way down. More times than not lately when I have been catching numbers of 3 to 4 lbers the 7 to 10 lbers have been in the same area but will not chase baits like the 3 to 4 lbers that are more agressive. When I say slow down I mean hold the bait on a tight line in any under water cover for like 5-10 min. This is hard to do when what you normally do is getting you bites of solid fish.
