 amistad - need to worry about border violence???

we are going to amistad all next week. do we need to be concerened about all the border violence we keep hearing about?

I was on Amistad last month and had no problems what so ever. I will be fishing it again in April as well.

No, been there 4 times in the past year. ALOT of police/BP/ICE presence!

I have a good friend who is a game warden down there and he said he has been there 3 years now and they have had no problems whatsoever. I would not fish the Mexico side just to be safe. i go down there 3-4 times a year and have never had any problems. Falcon has no law enforcement so they get hit harder. My buddy told me there are around 5000 federal agents and law enforcement in del rio and the drug cartels know that.

The law enforcement presence around Amistad is impressive. No worries.
