Champion is the best
Also if want to see a new Champion they were bought out by Stratos and they are named Stratos Elite series.
Go to stratos.com and look at the Elite series and you will see the Champion boat models 210,202,183
It just about floored me that they are called Stratos now but they are.

I think Ranger makes the best big rough water bass boats. They are heavy and deep Vs. I like the Skeeter better however.

Champs are great rough water boats but I have been really pleased with the way my 20i has done in it also.

I do not own a Champion, but I have been in one on Amistad when it was real choppy and I was impressed. I want one now. This was a 1993 year model and it really floored me how well it did.

BassCat P-4 is best in class if you ask me.

Everyone knows when you are running a deep v is going to make the ride softer ( not always safer ). But when you put the trolling motor down ( when you spend 95% of your time if you fish ) the same deep v makes the boat roll and lean more. I have ridden in most brands and made my choice. Get out there and ride and fish out of a few and make up your own mind.

You'll get a million answers to this, and it becomes a pride issue quickly on this forum. By and large I really believe taking into consideration the description Chris B gave, the safest boat is the one you know how to run. I've been in a 20ft boat and the guy couldn't keep me dry in 1 ft waves, simply because he didn't know how to trim it or work the waves. Conversely, my dear ol dad got us out of some nasty weather pushing an old 14ft tri-hull.

Most of the major manufacturers produce a safe, quality boat, and the issue is personal preference.

All that said......Skeeter Rocks! rock
