I never go out on the water this time of year without a chatterbait with a swimbait on the back of it. I perfer the lft magic shad, I use the smaller version I think its the 3 1/2. To me its the perfect size trailer on the chatterbait. I will fish it most times with the skirt still on the bait but have also caught lots of fish without the skirt on the bait. Trust me just add one to the back of your chatterbait and hang on its a big fish catching bait.

Try the BoHonk baits Echo Magic with a LFT Live Magic Shad. I have seen it work year round, shallow to deep water just fine. They really put fish in the boat.

Killed them a week and a half ago at Monticello on a Chatterbait(I actually like Booya's better) and a perch colored Yum Money Minnow. Not the most I've caught or the largest. Absolutly the largest average size I've caught. We caught a bunch of 4-7lb fish working a chatterbait with a swimbait trailer through spawning areas. It will be a long time before I don't have one tied on.

If you have a chatterbait tied on you MUST have a LFT 3.5 inch LFT live magic shad on the back or you will not catch anything. Fact.
