Every year a few of us try to get together and do what has become known as a "fish-in". This is nothing more than a chance for a lot of us to get together and fish, catch up, and help out newbies.

At the same time, it allows opportunity for people new to the world of carp to show up, ask some questions, learn techniques and meet some of us face to face (and hopefully meet some carp face to face as well).

As always, these are family events, kid friendly, and kid encouraged.

I'm shooting for March 19 out at the Cliffs. From sunup to sundown (note, people will likely come and go throughout the day).

We'd like to see as many of you out there as possible.

Tentativly in. Never been to the cliffs. Sounds like fun. Is there enough bank space for everyone? If not, how bout Scotts Landing? Dealers choice, I will try to be where-ever. Just saw the other post. I would be in for the State Park at Joe Pool. I have a swim there that has a lot of bank space and nearby restrooms. No buffs but a lot a carp. See below.

The cliffs is cool too.

The Cliffs are traditional for LSCB too, we've always had enough space out there for these.

I should be in for the Cliffs, though I may be in Austin one weekend in March visiting some folks, so I'm not sure. I have a rock at the cliffs named after me, it's pretty cool...LOL.

As far as bank space? ...There's loads of it.

We've had 20+ anglers fishing the cliffs in the past with no problem what so ever.

Snags can be an issue, it is pretty rocky, but as a big part of the Origins of the LSCB, it's also a pretty cool spot.

Previous Fish In's there have yielded 20+ commons and 30+ buffalo. Though, 6-15lb commons are most frequently caught, along with 10-25lb buffalo.

Come on out, bring friends and family, should be a good time.

I'll bring an ice chest full of waters, gatorades and cold coffees.

If someone wants to get exact directions that'd be awesome. I know the place by memory and the park has changed a bit. Otherwise I can throw together some directions that should get people there that haven't been before.

I give better odds for Ringo Starr showing up than Zach.
