Hi, I bought a 2007 6HP last year from a TFFer. Been on the lake several times with no problem.
Last weekend, I added some fuels to the fuel tank along with some blue stablizer for (ethanol treatment). I went to the creek, planed the boat. Then about 10 minutes it suddenly stopped without any hesitation. It did not sound like lack of fuel. After tried several times, I could not start the engine. Then one boat came by and he was very nice and offered to tow my boat back to the ramp. After he tied my boat onto his, he could not started up his either. He tried and tried and finally it started. So I was wondering maybe I could do the same since after open his cover, his engine was doing the same thing as mine: a lot of fuel was dump into the water but no smoke.
After I get the the ramp, I disconnect the fuel link, drain as much fuel from the engine as possible, then reconnected the fuel and pull the string, it worked!
I went back to the creek again and this time it stopped once due to lack of fuel because the connector was loosen. I reconnected it and no problem afterward.
So what could be the reason for my first stop?

Had a similar problem with one of my smaller motors. You had to starte it right away and it would run fine, but if you turned it off it would flood and not restart till you disconected the fuel line and pulled on it for an hour, then when it finaly started hook up the fule line and it would run fine till you tuned it off again.

I pulled the carb and there was a bunch of junk in the bowl, cleaned it and fixed the prob.
