Whatever Lucas decides, we need to support it all the way, and have a positive mental attitude about this whole endeavor, we dont want to be bickering like a bunch of hens over BS. We need to set the example, remember it about having fun, teaching , learning, and friendly competition. It doesnt take a rocket surgeon to notice that as a new club, we havent been getting a whole lot of congratulations, or encouragement , or even acknowlegememt from other supposed " top notch" clubs. National champions , and all that hoopla. Lets do this right guys. Lots of leaders here,in central texas.. lets take the lead . If you have a gripe with someone TOL... take it of line. without a doubt, but your always going to have those that will stir the pot and "hope" you fail just so they can say "I told you so".

Glad to see yall getting your own trail started. Good luck. Any thing I can do to help I will. I would like to see other regions do the same. Even here in north Texas.

thanks Cliff your a real dude, and I respect you. The reality is, this series is going to be a success, theres alot of well to do, retired, intelligent people in this area, that wont let this fail, theres a lot of retired millitary folks, who have had the great responsiblity of many large tasks, such as leading men into battle, and being in charge of millions of dollars in equiptment, working out logistical problems, and doing what others think is impossible. We have the money , the expertise, the resources, the time, and the know how, to take this as far as we want to take it. And we will.. take this far.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Final rules will be posted in April a month out of the tourney, but they'll be very similar if not identical to those used in last years Granger and Stillhouse tourneys. Simple...obey the state rules and be ethical!
I'm not inclined at this point to make it a one rod tourney circuit, as that technique has much more impact in the winter than the summer. I know of very few spidder rigging summer champions.
Any thoughts on the number of fish weighed being ther than the traditional 7...always struck me as an odd number.

Go with 5 for beginners and 7 for advanced! Many will struggle if they are new to crappie fishing!

Go with 5 for beginners and 7 for advanced! Many will struggle if they are new to crappie fishing! then you would have one team weighing 5 fish and one weighing 7...thats 2 more fish for extra weight

10 to win? At least it rhymes...that's just a 1/5 of a two team limit.
Does anyone know the origin of 7 fish in tourneys?
I know I'll struggle to pull it off on Granger personally, so maybe I'd beeter make the change till after that tourney...lol. I've spent three days fishing that lake and have caught a total of 14 keepers. Unfortunately, 13 were in one day, so I sported a 0 and a 1 on the other two.
