Loving the warm weather that's been here for the past couple of days- haven't started fishing for crappie again but hopefully the spawn will start a whole lot earlier compared to last year.
I'm betting on spawn starting 3-4 weeks from now at AH. Here's to hoping!

Well we went to the third bridge last night and took the boat out for the first fishing trip, not one bite. It sure is nice not being on the rocks. it aint much but its a boat!!!!! We knew it was not a good sign when we did not see our asain friends out there.
What,s the word on the lake buffalo fishing pezz?

The old man went fishing twice yesterday at the first bridge and did not get a bite. He said that a few of his friends caught some but none for him.

think i am gunna head out to the river adn try my luck on some cats!! and maybe head out to arrowhead tomorrow!! if any one want to go!!
wife went out of town, my 2 girls went outta town and it is just me and my son!! gunna do the skate park and fish all weekend!!! just a mans weekend!! maybe some movies later!!

Yesterday I went out to Lake Wellington (as usual) threw out some floating catfish food, and here come the 5-20 pound carp. Caught a 5 pounder and threw him on the bank. Dont want him eatin the catfish, and crappies eggs!
Still trying to get rid of em. Will probably head out there later today and try to catch a few. Any inparticular bait that I should use to catch them? I caught mine on a bagel.

The old man said that he caught two nice size crappie at the first bridge today. Said his friend arnold caught 6 or 7 on chartreuse body black head jigs. Yall go tear em up!

For carp, i always used dough bait, flour with cottonseed meal and cheese. I've also had good luck with a can of whole corn, putting some of the corn on the hook and especially putting a kernel on the tip of the hook.
You other guys?
