I went to Texoma and had luck on the Oklahoma side across from Juniper Park. I went the night of the 12 and didn't catch anything until about 6AM Saturday morning. Caught my limit in stripers, about 5 sandbass, and a catfish that almost stole my fishing pole. Good luck to ya.

I was using the lake ghost minnows and shad. They seem to be more interested in the ghost minnows. Just make shore you cast your line as far into the lake as possible if you are fishing from the bank. Far casts (about 25 ft into the water) seem to attract the bigger stripers over 20 inches. You can catch the smaller ones closer to the bank (about 15 ft into the water).

I will try that. Yeah, I ran into that same thing over at east burns run Teh further you cast the bigger the stripers we got. We have had pretty good luck over then when the wind is out of the south.

east burns, is that by the dam area? I havent explored that side, I usually stay around the highway 32 bridges, and hwy 70 bridges. They seem to produce pretty well. I have found that for some reason, bigger fish bite when you have wind that blows directly toward the bank that you are sitting at. Anyone else experience that or is it my imagination?
I don't really know what to type here.

I didn thave any luck this weekend I went out on Saturday. Most of it spent it over at highport and a guy caught a huge black about 30 yards away. Went out to the dam and still skunked again

I am going to Texoma this weekend and never fished there before. I dont have a boat. Anygood areas close to Denison or on the Texas side?
Just trying to catch something and keep the kid entertained. Really want to catch some nice stripers for myself.

East Burns Run is the very first left after you cross Denison Dam. Take the second left and go straight instead of the curb and you will run into West Burns run on your left. Let's see if this will work. The slightly yellow looking line is highway 75A or 91A or whatever they are calling the highway that goes across Denison Dam. Map It did not work. Navigate to the east on the map until and zoom in until you see 75A. After it crosses the dam and goes into Cartwright, you will see East and West Burns run.

We have caught some small stripers at east burns off the boat ramp. We used some weighted corks to get out there but they bite when the wind is out of the south.
