Ok just a couple of things about the New B.A.S.S. Classic. It seems that the new ownership is really working hard to make this a Class Act.

Mercer did seem a little tight , but hey, its the Classic and its his first tournament and he WILL get better. he live broadcast was the best I have ever seen with B.A.S.S.. They kept things moving and did a great job.

Now I thought it was over, and I left the site, my wife was watching on another puter and yelled at me Hey, go back. They were holding a press confrence with the top 5, now that was great and then another with Trip.

Thanks Jerry for bringing back the old B.A.S.S.

Yea seems BASS is heading in a great direction!!! One thing I do NOT like is the new MC at the event, he seems to create alot of awkward situations when talking to the fisherman. Other than that gotta love it!

I would agree that this is the best coverage ever.
Mark, they actually came back AGAIN and had a round table discussion between the B.A.S.S. writers.
You should also check out the supplemental coverage on the Facebook B.A.S.S. page. Twitter too.

I stuck with BASS/ESPN through some of the hardest times, and I can not say enough about how happy I am with the new owners and the renewed sense of passion. So far, they are doing all the right things. More good things to come too.

(PS Dave Mercer will find his rythem. Have worked with him at last 4 TTBCs and he is awesome.)

I enjoyed the coverage online. The best I have seen in years.

I like that I can view it on line with out having to buy a additional subscription or jump thru all kinds of hoopes. The web cast has been on in the house the whole time it was being aired.. that is a great thing. Was cool to get up this morning and see that they did not have a long fog delay. That is cool. Now if Chapman can pop a big bag.......LOL

I would like to see them expand the classic a bit, similar to the way Augusta National handles the Masters....If you win it, you have a lifetime exemption from qualifying.
