How well they hold up would be my guess. That on top of most boats being waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy overpriced.

in my book 25,000 is a lot of money, and if they dont hold up as well for 25,000 think you could buy a new hull

From what I have seen they aren't 25k cheaper. They are priced with a 225. And not very loaded up they are 42k right now. Then you have to buy a cover, front depth finder, spare tire, and so on. There are alot of good deals on boats right now and for the 45k you'll spend on a nitro you can find much higher quality new boats available. Keep in mind nitro builds nothing that compares to the top of the line Skeeter, Ranger, or Legend. You have to look at the big brands more basic level of boats to compare, and when you do there is no comparison.

Ranger you pay for corporate bs. Legend you will get your moneys worth as well with phoenix and bass cat. Quality is better and you get a much better boat.

We all need to get over the have to have thing. If you are not fishing for a living you probably don't need a $65000 rig. I would love to have a big bad azz boat but I have a 1999 18 ft. astro with a 120. I gripe all the time to my wife that I want a new boat. Then I realize, my boat floats and I don't need to get from one side to the other in 30 seconds. I know some guys that fish tournaments will rag on me and say they need the baddest most powerful rig available and that's fine but I think we are losing ourselves a little. There will always be advancements but when does it stop and just return to fishing. I think I was a better fisherman when I had a 14 ft boat with a 10 hp because I fished areas harder. Maybe I'm stupid.

Learned my lesson with my first boat. Spent the first six months I owned it not catching fish very well...BUT, I fished all over the lake. My wife pointed out that I was spending more time running than fishing. One of the few times she has been right but I learned my lesson. Three boats(bigger and badder everytime) later, I have found that my bigger boat handles rough water better, gets me to the bank quicker when bad weather comes in and surprises me and will often give me a few more minutes of fishing before leaving for weigh in.(can be critical this time of year)
