Anyone know of any spot in or around Lubbock where I could get some shad? I'm headed to WR tomorrow, and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Your best bet is to buy a castnet and catch your own.
Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

Buffalo Springs is full of shad, there also used to be quite a few in the canyon lakes -- don't know if you can still throw a castnet though - the old Playa Lake by the hospital used to have shad too - but I will add a qualifier there haven't seen it since I dusted my heels on graduation in 1976.

I think Gander Mountain has some. Might give them a call. Zz

pshh. Gander blames the cold spell for their empty bait tanks.
