I own about 500-600 pounds of plastics in their original bags. I have them stored in two different states and have not had time to fish for a couple years.
I have been out of the country for the past 10 months so I cannot see for myself...lol
How long would you say the plastics will last in their original packaging?

I've got some plastic worms that are over 20 years old and thats a fact. Put a little vegetable oil in a plastic bag and spray a little Garlic and they are good to go. There are a few brands that do tend to get hard after time, but the veggie oil softens em up quickly.

That is excellent news! I'll try the veggie oil trick, if needed.
Thanks, gents!

Don't know about veg oil, but DO NOT use mineral oil or baby oil or it will harden your baits.

Watched a youtube video the other of Paul Elias talking about his record catch at Falcon a couple of years. Remember him saying that the Jelly Worms he was using were something like 15 years old. They had been stored in his garage and he just decided to take them. So I would say they can at least last that long, probably longer if kept in the right conditions.

I bought a ton of soft plastics from sportsman warehouse in Round rock a couple years back when it was closing. some of the stuff was way old, I am just now opening up some of the stuff. I keep surprising myself with the stuff I picked out. Found 5 bags of Zoom Super Chunks in black, blue, watermelon seed. Never opened at least four yrs old.

I leave them in the original package and that seems to work the best for me.
