Usually starts on the northern end of the lakes in March. It depends alot on the weather.

I heard Bardwell and Richland Chambers are good. I have only fished down there once though. Cedar Creek is also good. thumb

texoma is my #1 crappie lake around here, spawning should get going good there around mid-april this year, unless we have some unusually warm weather, water temps need to be a steady 56 for fish to go shallow, dont rush the fish, wait for overnight temps of 50 or better.

You could start at Conroe this week, after 2 weeks you should start move north and try RR then NM 2 week later or Whitney, bardwell, CC. etc.... as the weather warming up you could fish further north. fish

uuhhm....u realize that conroe is down near houston right? conroe to RR is quite a commute over some crappie, spawning or not..then you have him going back south to NM, and whitney....none of that made any sense really! i can only assume, or hope at least that u were being funny? i would say gas i a bit high to be driving across the state and back south to north 3-4x, when u could just wait a couple weeks and catch em spawning in about any mudhole around
