I know that it is a holiday weekend but I am going out to Clear Lake and plan to hit the water at about 3am. Anyone care to join me?

I'll be there. Are you wanting to wait for another person before you put in? If so, I'll be there at 3am. If not, probably 4:30.

Aw, shucks, if you're going to twist my arm!
I may have to practice tomorrow morning, first! See you Saturday at 3:00!

Hey Kelly & Roger,
Sorry I missed you this morning, I had something come up and just couldn't get there.
I'll make it up to you.....and show you a couple of other lakes in the area(don't tell Jerry).

See ya later

Wayne

No problem, Wayne. I figured you just partied too hard on the 4th (could that be the something that came up?) I only stayed until 7 a.m., but I really slayed 'em. I fished the old bubblegum senkos, rigged with two rattles, a nail weight, and two trebles, like always. The difference was that I fished the dam area. The biggest went 5.3 lbs, and 3 more were over 3 pounds. It was a really good night. Kelly brought his girlfriend (what dedication--and cute, too! Don't know what she's doing with him! ) He had several fish already when I left, and I imagine he nailed a few more. The lake became a kayaking, bass buster, and kickboat freeway after about 6 o'clock. Too bad we had already sore-mouthed 'em all! See you next time, sir!

Hey Wayne,

We missed you, but were sure something had to have come up. We knew you wouldn't just no-show.

We'll hook up soon.

I went back with Jerry Sunday evening and fished 6:30 to 11pm. I ended up with about 8-10 fish, up to 3 lbs. No hawgs, but I'm sure enjoying the night trips! Jerry even managed to hook a few. Now, if we can just get him to quit doing his Frank Sinatra impersonations, it would be a very peaceful lake!

I have a question for you guys that fish the grasslands quite often. Can you camp out there at Clear Lake? I know there is no power but I was thinking of just throwing up some tents and having a guys weekend fishing expedition.

I have been camping by Cottonwood lake for about 18 years. I even took my wife out there for our first wedding anniversary on January 9th in 2000. She liked camping until that day. She kept saying she couldn't stay warm, and I kept ignoring her while my fingers were numb and I was T-rigging the damn area. I am not sure about Clear Lake. It seems I remember seeing some picnic tables and grills over there.

Sure you can camp at clear lake but it is primative you have to bring everything you need.
