I'll be there with the two kids. We have done this for the last 5 years I think. Or something like that. It really help the kids because they can actually see what they are fishing for.

Take your kids, this is a great way to catch fish. The trout are usally hungry and ready to bite.

Bait Tip. Get a bag of Multi Color mini marshmellows and use them for bait. Trout love them and if the fishing gets slow the kids will have a snack handy.

are these good sized trout. I heard they release the ones not caught in a local pond is this true. thanks

On Friday I helped out a co-worker whose wife teaches a class for special ed. students in Carrollton. The kids go there every year on the first day. The marshmallows are a great suggestion. I thought there were more big fish this year than last year. Two big ones were caught in the hour we were there.

Check my post in the Photos section. My wife Jennifer caught a 4.9 lb one around 1:30pm on Sat afternoon. We had a great time and she won $20 for catching the biggest fish during that hour.
