Thanks for the info.Dustin....that creek used to not be so hard to get into, even with the water a little low,but I guess it's been silting in for years.
Anybody else been here?

I live on the lake and its only a couple feet down right now. I havent been out lately but havent had problems getting in the creek when its quite a bit lower than now. That channel leading in really winds around but if you keep it slow you should be able to make it in without problem.

I'll be out there next weekend. I've literally walked and pulled my boat through the shallow to get into the creek before. If the lake is only a couple feet low getting into the creek is no problem.

cody let me know if you happen to get out. I'm curious about when they start biting. Should be real soon.

Was there during the coldfront Sun. through tues. the crappie were slow on the dam end as far as I could see. Caught a few, one or two were shallow. Bass were cruising the edge some, water was off color a little and the N. wind blew. Wound up with some poundage of 5 Blue cats and some misc,. There is a good showing of shad at the water outlet stream at the power plant. Did not make the trek to the creek, although it is a great rufuge when the wind is blowing.

Water temp last Saturday in the main lake was between 58.5 to 60.1. Could not find any great numbers of fish but managed 1 sand bass and 1 hybrid both released for another day. Did not make it up to the creek may be this weekend or next.

Spent some time up the creek this week. Water temps are 65-67. Managed a few nice whites. No major bite yet tho.

Sounds good. I'll be in the creek Saturday and Sunday. Hope the bite has started!

I was up in the creek this morning. Water temp is 70-71. Caught about 10 so they were biting pretty decent. Only got 4 keepers.

Turns out all 4 were female and full of eggs. So I would say the crappie haven't spawned yet.
