I don't think the best thing to do is stop. I believe you run back to US and then deal with them if they were real. But if you haven't been reading the news lately, you should. They most certainly are not real and are not legit. If you are stopped on the Mexico side there is a chance it could cost you your life or at least all of your stuff. If you get caught in the US from running away, it's going to cost you a fine. Period. Don't stop.

I'm guessing it would cost you nothing in the US. IF that ever happened I think American authorities would understand you running.
Now again, I have never even come close to having to make that decision -- it is purely hypothetical.

Just my $.02. I don't fish Mexico at Falcon but I understand why many do. Just a personal choice. When fishing Amistad I will fish Mexico and always have a license.
I buy a license in case you get sneaked up on and are the one that happens to get checked. It seems like a big risk to save 50 or so dollars..... I personally won't risk a boat, all my tackle, and potentially my freedom, for $50.
I wouldn't stop to see what an approaching boat wanted in Mexico for anything. Load up and go but that is just me.

It should be pretty easy to tell if it's an 'official' Mexican boat. They aren't gonna come running up to you in a small netter boat or a ski boat. It will be similar to our military boats patrolling the lake. Just show em your license and stop acting like Rambo.
That being said, I've never seen one on Falcon. I have been checked by them on Amistad and they were very friendly.

If you see an "official" looking boat on the Mexico side of Falcon, with uniformed men in it wearing badges and carrying guns, I'll bet you dollars against donuts that they're cartel. Your choice about what to do in that situation.

Y'all are crazy if you think you are gonna get checked in Mexico and verything will be alright. I have been told by people who fish that lake all the time that there is currently no such thing as a Mexico Gamewarden. We always wath our back and whennit doubt haul butt back to us. No matter where you are it only takes minutes to get back.
As far as a Mexico license goes the only reason I have one os for insurance purposes. If my boat happens to break down an I could not get away and just happened to get checked

Your choice about what to do in that situation. How do you figure? Why would cartels dress up in uniforms wearing badges in a military style boat? Furthermore why would they try to pull over and American fisherman?

Kept him for about a month until they paid a $650,000 ransom. He got pulled over on the side of the road nearby his apple orchard by what he thought were the "authorities." They had stolen a police vehicle and were uniformed. As some others have posted before, I would haul a$$ out of there as soon as I see any type of mexican boat.

either way you cant outrun a bullet..... Right ON! I am so shocked how "brave" some of you are! This isn't the south side of Dallas....this is the WILD WILD WEST! Is a fish really worth it?

either way you cant outrun a bullet..... So you would rather sit there and let them shoot you instead of running?

I will not waste my money for any mexican license period. If you are approached by another boat while on their side the best thing you can do is run and not look back.I dont owe mexico anything, but they should owe us plenty.
