Okay guys I know I will hear about it after this so here it goes.None of us can count one hand how many times a year someone has to go to the emergency room because of a snake.Now on the other hand we all hear about the ones caused by our fellow fisherman or sportsman,now we dont go around killing them,but I know it has crossed a few minds now and then.Like someone said 99% of the snakes most of us encounter are harmless and are in our ecosystem for a reason.So if we are truly Sportsmen we would not be killing them.But instead educating each other more about them.For example I read just the other day about a species of the eastern diamondback rattler is close to going on the protected species list down in Florida. Now about the pistol issue permit or not you would have a hard time explaining to law enforcement why you discharged it in a public place,because most of us fish on public waters dont we. Ya ya Ya, but not everyone has the chance to to be introduced to the snakes and learn to appreciate them instead of hateing them. I still don't like snakes in the wild, but i ain't skeered of them enought to run like a the wind everytime i see one. Well, unless it's rattling beside my leg.
