I am installing 898c si transducer on 2004 nitro 882. Does anyone have any recommendations or pictures for correct mounting placement of transducer on transom or jack plate?

there is a stencil on the website i believe, its also in the user manual or was in the 997's. i think its required to be so far under the deadrise and 15'' from the prop.

buy one of these well worth the money because more than likely with a big transducer like the 898 has you will break the ears where it mounts to the bracket. If you have a jack plate that is the best place to mount it so buy the bracket as well.
Good luck
