How do you tube fish a lake with a lot of lilly pads? I know of one, but it is very rugged on the banks (cattails), and only one entrance. If I tube fish, the lillies are a constant nuisance. But the fishing is great when you get near the cattails.

Any tips appreciated.

I've dealt with Hydrangia. Not a problem compared with Lillies. Lillies an calm wind is okay. Lillies and wind is not.

Since no one has replied, I guess I'll take a shot at this one.

All I can say is that every boat/tube/etc. has it's limits. I'd probably add fishing inside lily pads as pushing the limits of a tube. Too much tangling going on with the legs.

If I was fishing pads, I'd fish over them with long casts using scum frogs, or punch thru the pads with a heavy jig or Texas rig.

I know that's not much help when the pads are wide and the fish are in the cattails along the bank.
