I like Power Pro but it seems like it is getting jammed down in the spool and causing casting problems more and more......Anything better???? Something that does not jam down in the spool and get stuck?

I found that my braid operates better on a small diameter mono backer. I use 8-10lb mono. Also using too much braid on a spool will do the same digging in.

Yall will laugh but go to Walmart and buy the zebco omnibraid. Its in yellow box. I bought some and won't be using power pro anymore. 8 bucks a roll is nice for a great line.

I think all braids will dig in when a strong hook set is made... I personally like Suffix and Power Pro.

I'll have to try that Walmart stuff but until I do I like Suffix.

Tuff Line, The Salt and Pepper will open up the hook and pull the plug on the lake before it breaks

Regardless of what braid you use it will dig into the reel if say you pull on it hard to straighten a hook when snagged. If line is digging into the spool nearly all the time without hanging up then you did not spool the line on the reel tight enough when you put the line on the reel. When I spool fresh braid on a reel I soak a rag in silicone spray and tightly hold the line so thte line has to go through the silicone on the rag and grip the line tightly with the my none reeling hand. Once on the reel I soak the line good with KVD LLC. Casts like a dream until I have to straighten a hook then make a clearing cast to clear the spool.

Spiderwife stealth is the only way to go. A lot stronger AND cheaper than 95% of all the others.

As a result of the diggin in of braid (Power Pro) I only use braid on my spining reels. With the exception of one baitcaster when throwing into heavy brush even then I can go through half a bottle of KVD LLD to counteract the problem.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!
