I know I'm limiting the choices but... Where are the best bream ponds around here. I love bream on the beds and it's about that time. If it's anything like Arkansas, golf courses are a good bet, but they're pretty strict about fishing those down here. I live in Carrollton, but anything close works for me. Thanks, PD

hey Pittdave, I tried to email you on the two best spots in DFW to get some MEGA BREAM, but your email isn't working! got it returned. Not gonna post it on here, but if you want the info, you gotta email me! IT IS RED HOT CATCHING RIGHT NOW,(notice i said "catching" not "fishing"). Last two trips for these tasty, feisty critters, i got over 100 on each trip! THAT'S THIS WEEK! MEGA BREAM, no slouchy dinks! had several PUSHING 11 INCHES!!!!
But if you don't fix your email i can't tell ya where they are!

Hey Rudy, I would love to get into those bream. I want to take my son out Saturday morning and let him have a little fun. That way I can go after the channel cats Saturday evening without having to keep a eye glued on him.

Pittdave, they are almost all dinks but you can catch sunfish fast and furious at the Carrollton Library @ Josey and KellerSprings, pick the bigger pond closest to Josey. The north end is hot with smaller fish. I caught 30 dinks in 10 minutes the other day. Chum them up with stale food from your pantry.
A friend of mine in a wheelchair showed me this pond. I am glad Carrollton made it easy to access, have not found too many ponds like that around here.

Thought I would finally put the pics where the talk, and the hype has been! What follows is fairly representative sample of my last 3 forays aimed specifically at "full moon 'Gills on the beds in April". Also got some jumbo Warmouths thrown in for good measure! Monday night, April 17, 2006, all caught AFTER 10 PM! Bait: blue/white panfish assassin, on a 32 nd oz UNPAINTED jig head, 6 lb test line, Quantum Micro Ultralight Reel, 5 ft BPS graphite rod Technique, cast and retrieve, twin jigs, DOUBLE HOOKUPS! FISHED PARALLELL TO BANK! WHERE THE BEDS ARE! Total fishing time, 45 minutes! 17 kept for food, could have easily kept double that, they bit that good and that fast! ALL of the Bluegills in these pics are males! Of the 17 I cleaned this time, 16 were male, the one gal being a fat, freaky sized jumbo Warmouth. Thes are Bull 'Gills! NE ways, here they are: I did manage to divulge 2 of my bream hotspots to a few intrepid souls, and they sorta kinda gave me that "yeah, whatever you say" reaction! fine with me, my family is gonna have one fine meal! Take one look at these pics and tell me in Daffy! Rudy

BTW, those tails will fry up nicely as well! Better than Potato chips!!
I also managed one black bass in the 3 lb range, but I was after those hefty gills! I can catch bass most anytime i want, but these jumbo Gills, can't pass them up, EVER!
