I am moving to Odessa next week and will be looking for any available water to fish for bass. Also, any bait and tackle shops in the area. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sweetwater 2+ hours
Nasworthy/Twin Buttes 2.5 hours

Im in Midland too! Its not bad man! I love it out here, sure I wish the water was closer but the water we do have is good bass water.

Oldstrat how fast do you drive? LOL I am in the AH boat ramp lane in an hour and 45 mins and at Ivie in 2 hours and 30 mins. Now Amistad is 4 and a half hours for me. But you can be on Oak Creek in 90 mins and its a great lake. Also JB Thomas is some nasty looking water about an hour away but holds some really nice bass. You can also hit Champion if you get a key to the gate and it catches some more water and its got some good bass too, its about and hour 15 away.

Good luck with the move, you towing a boat out here with you?

2 1/2 from Midland to the best bass fishing lake in the state, OH Ivie. Add 15 minutes from Odessa and your there.
