Called off my Saturday Afternoon Trip today, but then had a call from some TFF'ers just wanting to learn the Lake for their Spring Break Trip in March. Went out from 9AM to 1PM, and showed them a dozen spots to click on the GPS. No surprise....Windsock, Flats, Pelican Island, Roadbeds, and a few "Private Honey Holes". Used their new 22'Nautic Star CC/225 Yama with Auto Pilot MK 101 Trolling Motor, and the ultimate....Lowrance HDS 10. WOW WOW WOW What a Graph!

Stopped at the end of the trip to fish for 45 minutes on the Windsock where all of January we loaded the box on every trip, but today......Not one bite. Oh yea...water temp 43 at the ramp moved to 45 when we quit. About 3 days and we'll be back to Catchin'!
I hope!!!! smile

I hope your right. I fished Friday morning and it was very tough fishing. In fact, every report I've heard lately has been the same, very slow. Maybe this warm weather this week will get them going again. I'm gonna try it again Monday I hope to find some more fish.

Chuck,

My guess is that it will be slow for the next few days or maybe even the entire week, but slow is better than none. Always seems that the water temp is quick to go down, but slow to warm up to the 50 degree mark we need to get the bite back on. My money is on about Wednesday for the bite to be there.

Let me know how you do on Monday. I'm supposed to fish Tuesday, and seems if Cedar Creek is on, RC will normally be too.

Thanks,

Tawakoni is on fire right now................if you are a comarant rolfmao J/k...I went out for a bit and it is about dead as well. The main lake is 41 degrees. Hopefully these warm days will perk that water up quickly. I usually hate wind, but right now the wind in the forecast may be an advantage to us in the coming days. The water will warm much faster with a good warm wind.

Royce ,I really hate to say it but it's about time you acted like us mere mortals smile

You've been on fire while the rest of us ( at least me ) have been struggling...I'm finally glad to see that I'm doing just as good as you are smile

You know that misery does love company:)

I haven't been able to buy a fish for weeks....

Of course you know I'm kidding about being happy bout this !!!!!

Out yesterday 11-3pm...nada. Out this morning 8:30-11...nada.

Not a bite. But great weather to be out on RC and didn't mind the ride looking for fish.

Spent a little time on my home lake (Whitney) and have to say it is pretty darn slow too. Ready for Spring and that great Texas weather.

No need for Human Sacrifices! smile Found fish in 45 ' water today and they bit! From Noon till 3PM, put 24 Keepers in the box and threw back about the same amount. All fish on Slabs and just about deadsticking. Water temp warmed all the way to almost 46 degrees! smile
