How is fishing at Port Mansfield right now?

I hope it will be good come October because we will be staying there for a few months. Do you need a boat...hope not.

Its been really good everytime iv gone. At night you can catch alot of trout under the lights and theres a couple spots you can wade but other than than that you pretty much need a boat
|

I hope it will be good come October because we will be staying there for a few months. Do you need a boat...hope not. Get a bigger penny jar and save up to hire a guide while there. I used Jack Klausterman this past September and had a blast. It rained all week, the LLM was too fresh, windy, but Jack knew where to go. Got us in and out safely (30 mile run). Pampered us well and we caught three limits of trout plus 1 shy of our red limit. Well worth the day with him.
