Was ordering a new Bait Buster 7' premium from Just Cast Nets.com when I realized catchnbait.com had the same net cheaper 89.95. I have the 1/2 net know which is a good, heavy, fast sinking net, I just wanted the 3/8" so the smaller baits would not get gilled. Good price on a good net!

I got one from cabelas but, I don't really like it sinks too slow and it has 1.35 lbs per foot. It will catch the really small stuff, nothing gets gilled in it.

I can get them shipped to your door for around $95 (including shipping). Next time give me a call when you're needing one.

A lot of times on the coast but not once on fresh water.

I get my livewell checked about every third trip during the summer.

They still have the 8 ft at BPS. Why is that?

No idea then. May be legal in different states and someone up the chain of command for BPS thinks they should carry them. /shrug

TPWD doesn't make any distinction between fresh and salt water on cast nets.

http://tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/fish/legal_devices/

I have never been checked on fresh water, but I have at the coast.

jjason orders nets from Lee Fisher Cast Nets and sells them, he may have some extras from the last time he ordered some, if you don't see him on the forum to pm, he has a post in the Febuary fishoff thread, he sells them a lot cheaper than you can buy them yourself!!!
