I have owned 2 Skeeter 190's and now have Ranger 519VX and the Ranger is far superior to handling rough water and comfort plus holds a bigger motor and may be wider..I do not like the Ranger Z model's due to price and them compartment hinges..

Talk to a boat repair place. They see the the boats inside and out. You can find out if a certain model or a certain brand had issues.

Hello all Im new to the site and needing some input. Im starting to do some looking for my first bass boat. I have fished out of Champions, Stratus, Skeeter, Ranger, Triton, and Bass Cat. I like them all. So if you all could tell me the reasons why so like and or dislike your boat. Thanks W C Out of the ones you posted about I would recommend you stay with the last three... Shop around and get the best deal on one of them. Its really the old Ford, Chevy, Dodge debate all over again.

What your comfortable with both budget and features.
Paid for, in my opinion always comes first. The rest is user and equipment adjustments.

with all major manufactures offering life-time limited warranties on the hulls That's true, but unless things have changed, BassCat has the only transferable life-time warranty.

welcome to the world of fisherman for any length of time. Most of us have had many brands and sizes and set up, and still searching for the perfect one.

I had a 93 21ft Javelin that was by far the dryest boat ive ever been in and it was fast too but just got old. Before that i had a 17ft Cajun that was great on gas and fished good but was slow and heavy. Now i have a 22 ft Triton that is a real looker and fishes great but will make you feel like you should have doned scuba gear when running in 2ft swells. The Javelin paid for, the Cajun paid for;; the Triton not so much.....The best boat is a paid for boat....
Good Luck
Bassbound.
