I caught zero fish at this location today on different jigs. Saw one crappie and two small catfish caught over 4 hrs or so on minnows.

I was desperate, I planned on taking the boat out and my Lowe does good to keep the water out at 15 mph winds. They were gusting around 30 so I just had to wet a line somewhere, anywhere. I drove by the Miller road area by the railroad bridge, and Marina del ray watched for a bit and never saw anyone catching there either. My wife got to try and learn to cast my baitcasting real into the wind. I had to snug the spool down pretty good to keep it from backlashing.

yeah, i live pretty close to that creek. But man i only caught 1 fish there, and when i caught it i fowled hooked it. It was a crappie by the way. earlier in the spring if you fish rowlett creek buy the gun range there are plenty of sand bass spawning and you can catch lots of them with white road runners or small white jigs.. (mainly what i used) but now that they've all mated there its pretty much gone back to normal being a not so good place to fish. if i am wrong correct me
