The Commerce Division (USA Bass Trails) will have it's 2nd tournament on Lake Fork Feb 20 at the Lake Fork Resort ramp. Early registration can be done with a cedit card on line or by printing off an entry form and mailing it in. Late registration can be done beginning at 5am the morning of the tournament at the Lake Fork Resort ramp. Lake Fork rules will be updated on the BLT website to allow bass under 14" to be weighed in.
The BLT Waco Team Division will begin on Lake Belton Feb 20. You may register early by mail or with a credit card. Late registration on Feb 20 will begin at 5am at BLORA.
Once teams have registered you may launch from any ramp and begin fishing at the start time posted on the BLT website 1 week prior to the tournament.
Good luck, BLT staff

CliffK, All BLT Lake Belton tournaments will be at BLORA. We missed this for the Waco Division. The Belton Championship and Temple Premier Division were posted correctly but we missed this one.
Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. I will contact our webmaster today to make the change on our BLT website.
Thanks again, BLT staff

Is there an off limit for this tourney? Also, I don't quite understand the launching from any ramp. Is there not going to be a livewell check prior to?

Ty's Team, The only off limits begins at midnight before the tournament. The BLT program allows trailering at every tournament. Once you have registered, you may launch your boat from any ramp on the tournament lake, go to your fishing spot and begin fishing at the start time posted on the BLT website one week prior to the tournament date. The stop fishing time is always 3pm and you must be in line before 4pm at the weigh in location.
If you register early by mail or with a credit card off the BLT website, you do not need to come by the late registration site the morning of the tournament. You can leave home/hotel and go straight to your launch site. There is no live well check but we do polygraph the winners and randomly during the weigh in process.
Thanks for your interest in the BLT program. BLT staff

AH7577, After discussing the $300 entry Temple Premier Division with those anglers who entered, we decided to postpone the tournament due to low angler interest. We will make an announcement soon about the remainder of the tournaments on this schedule. We are pleased with all of our other Divisions but the Temple Premier did not attract enough anglers.
Our current thinking is to hold open tournaments with a $160 entry fee with the remaining lakes on the schedule for this Division. No BLT membership required. Any thoughts about doing this?

Tattednfishing, Yes. The Waco Team Division tournament on Lake Belton will remain part of the Region 2 BLT Spring tournament program. Anglers in this Waco Division can qualify for two Region Championships and move on to the State Championship tournament.
The memberships help buy the boats and other prizes in the Championship tournaments.
Thanks for the question and we hope to see you there. BLT staff

whatsaweighin, You are correct. Our 2011 website is being redesigned due to our server crashing when we uploaded our 2011 information. We had to go to a new host server to handle our expansion from 70 tournaments to 128 in our 2011 program. The website is being redesigned to handle the additional information. We were not expecting this and it is taking much longer than we expected to get the new website up and functioning properly.
In the mean time we are limping along with our old 2010 site and trying to keep the most critical information available. The new site should be completed this week.
We appreciate your patience as we work on the new site.
Thanks, BLT staff

TBT, Just making sure on this, you are changing the rules for fork to allow under 14" fish to be weighed, correct?
Would have been better to have done this prior to the first event, or wait until next year so you don't have anglers upset over non weighed fish from the first event.

KevinT, At the weigh in of our first Fork tournament on Jan 30, our TD had a meeting with the anglers who entered the tournament. Most every Angler felt our BLT rule, that did not allow any bass under 14" to be weighed in, was too restrictive on Fork. The BLT rule and the TP&WD regulations with the minimum slot of 16" meant that you had a 2" window of fish between 14" and 16" to weigh in. Unless, of course, the angler caught a bass over the slot.
The anglers wishes were respected after the Fork TD met with the BLT staff and we all agreed to disregard the 14" minimum rule for Lake Fork only in all future Lake Fork tournaments. Our TD felt, as long as everyone followed the rule in the first tournament and everyone could bring in smaller fish in all future Fork tournaments, there would be no advantage to any specific angler by changing this rule.
If our TD would have known the anglers wanted the BLT 14" minimum rule relaxed for Fork, he would have changed it before the first tournament but no one expressed their feelings on this till after the first tournament.
Normally the BLT/USA BT TD's will not change rules after the season starts but our BLT staff agreed Fork is a unique fishery and decided to allow this rule to be relaxed. The change is posted on the BLT Early Entry start time web page and will be posted on our 2011 rules as soon as we can get the bugs worked out of our newly redesigned 2011 website. Every BLT angler who enters early must go to the Early Entry menu page to get the start times and all late entries will be told at registration of the change in rules.
Thanks for your comments. I hope this explains our decision. USA BT Staff
