Looks like everyone is buying new tackle this year.
Out of the four you had links to I would go with the Nash and Fox. I don't care for chub, but some will love them.

I would go with at least a 3 pound test curve. I have both 3 and 3.25 rods. I also have the Daiwa Regal plus baitrunner reels both in the 4000 series and the 4500 series and really like them.. The regal plusses have a line twist reduction feature, and I think they cost less than the Carpmasters. Buy the best that you can afford.

If you go with the Chub, I've heard good things about the Outkast and it's only $10 more. If you are looking to save money, I have been happy with the 2 rods of these that I have purchased. They have more coming in stock in March. I think the Chubs are a step above these most likely, especially if you get the 50mm butt ring. https://www.carp-kit.com/store/product_i...f4b55148284f51d

Thanks guys! What test curves should I look at? Mine right now are either 2.75 or 3.0

Black phantoms are 2.5; get 3.0s. You'd do great with your Regal +s. Carpmasters, even used, are usually $100+

I have a warrior. Fox rods are over priced. The snooper is as good if not better. The outkast has the best blank. The seen alot of crushed/snapped nash rods returned when I worked at a tackle shop. The carbons pretty thin. Dunno about the newer years tho its been a few years.

I would definatly get the outcasts but I haven't seen the newer nash rods. My guess would be thin as before.

as I said before, outkast and cabela's saltsrikers...both have lifetime warranty's hard to beat that...I haver personally owned both and can't find a reason to spend more money on medium range kit.
I sold my outkast, after having 2 replaced at no charge and the broken rods being at no fault of manufacturing.
I still use my reels from cabela's...they own.
