Hey my mom is looking for peace of mind on me going to falcon in about two weeks. I would appriciate all voices of those who have fished there in the last six months. Did you have any trouble? Were you chased or harased? Were you robbed?Did you fish on the mexico side?Did the bass chew your fingers off lol just a few questions she might want answered thanks for the input told here i would make the post so she could see it.

Went there in December.
Fished the Mexican side for 2 days.
Hotels and towns people as nice as can be.
ONLY YELLED MOMMY ONCE, when I was catching a DD bass that was whipping my tale.

The US side is without question as safe as any other lake in the country. Mexico is fine too. I fish it all the time and have never seen anything concerning at all. But for a while I stayed-out of the Salado River because that's where the 3 incidents happened (2 almost a YEAR AGO, 1 happened 6 months ago). But now I got over that concern too.

I've fished there at least 5 times since August, fished the entire lake with no problems. If you see something that looks suspicious or that makes you uncomfortable, than pick up your TM and go. We've had a bag over 32 pounds, and 3 fish over 10 pounds in our boat, still in one piece. I might avoid the Salado and the river, but other than that go catch some toads.

I have fished on the Mexico before and after the last incident with no problems. I rarely fish the US side, only if it is too windy to cross the lake. I have had very sore arms every time after fishing there though. Good luck and catch a monster!

We were there from January 25-30. We fished both the Mexican and American side. No issues, no problems (other than finding a consistent bite) and the people down there are great. Go and have fun!

Fished first week in November. Wind blew 40 MPH first two days, and was below freezing the third morning. Still caught 50 bass that day on the American side up to 7 pounds. No problems at all on lake or in town. Will be back down Feb 20-26, staying at OSO. Can't wait for some great action and warm weather!

Go fishing. Went right after Christmas and had a great time. Ready to go back.
