My favorites are these in this order. Xcaliber XR-50, Lucky Craft LV,Yo-Zuri,and Bill Lewis rattle Traps. There are times when one seems to outperform the others so I usually try several until I figure them out. I have a bunch of the Red Eye shad and have not had good luck with them but they seem to work OK for KVD LOL.

I roll with the good ole Bill Lewis Rattle Trap, mostly 1/4 and 1/2. Braid in grass, otherwise mono.

The Excalibur traps is one of my favorites this time of year. Try the 1/4 or 1/2 oz size. I have them on two rods in this video.

I run yo zuri on castaway skeleton flippin stick with 17 mono and very rarely lose fish. I like mono for stretch and the rod has a fast tip thats helps greatly. Its also strong enough to allow me to pop it out the grass. Yo zuri rips better than anything i have used.

Red Eye in gold sexy shad has been money for me!! It is actually the only color of them I have had a lot of luck with! But have not tried a whole bunch of colors.
