Having to trade down in boat I had a champion 210 w/a 250XS turning a 26 fury. I just bought a 99' Bass Cat Jaguar w/a 250XB turning a 25 trophy 4 blade. Its running 74mph (gps) but I would think there is a better wheel than a trophy? Or am i getting all there is? Trying to avoid a full day with a prop shop and a box full of props. With all the experience and knowledge within our TFF circle I was hoping to eliminate a lot of time and money. Thanks a million in advance for the advice!

at 6100 rpm (max rpm)with a 1.75 gear ratio and a 25p prop, a 10 pct slip rare equals 74.3mph, if your turning less rpms then your slip rate is even less,,,,,,,at 5800 with a 26 and 10 pct youd be at 73.2 mph , really need to know those rpms to know where your slip rate is at right now, sounds to me like your doing well especially if your turning less than 6100 rpm

26 Tempest should be the ticket on that rig, but it will require a little more driving skill than the trophy needs.
