If so how did you do and what did you use? I just moved down here and am feeling a little lost. I have no idea how to fish south Texas. Thanks

Boerne Lake is very beautiful and very clear. It is hard to catch fish and I am not sure if it has catfish. Most important is the fact that no boat motors are allowed to run in that lake. Only elec trolling or paddles.
Bragging may not bring happiness, but no man having caught a large fish, goes home through the alley. Anonymous John 21:3

Thanks. I have a bass tracker 165 so the only time I fished it I was using my trolling motor, but I have no idea what I am doing down here. I love South Texas, but when I get on the lake I feel like I am in a foreign country. Its way different. Back home we use stink bait and set up in a cove and try to catch em when they come up to feed at night.

for channel cat action get you ssome big marvs punch bait, (pm me for where to get some)fish it under a bobber in shallow water near shore or on a slip sinker rig near river channels. chumming with some sour grain or range cubes can help get some cats attracted into an area for you. For blue cats, drifting shad under jugs or slip bobbers set 10 to 20ft deep works pretty well (sometimes). I fish Medina a lot, and I can tell you it is a tough lake to consistently catch fish in...in the winter the cats can be very, very deep (as deep as 90ft!)...and in the summer when the thermocline sets up they will all be suspended somewhere in the top 20ft of water. patience and persistence will pay off with some very healthy cats though. I have never fished Boerne lake, but can almost guarantee it has at least channel cats in it. maybe we could try it out together sometime? pm me and maybe we can work something out. I have been curious about it since it does not get a lot of fishing pressure.
