Ahhhhhh....... lets see how many ways the beaver can be ripped off and reinvented. What a joke. You mean like the worm, or the jig, or the crank, or the spinner, or..... I do agree, it is funny. We know that all these baits are now designed to catch 'customers', but we go ahead and spend the money anyway.
Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

Well I don't understand how it works but it seems like everyone could claim some sort of infringement. It would suck to come up with something and 5 major companies take it and make it their own.

.....the Biffle Bug seems to have way more action than most of the beaver baits from my experience. It floats making it more versatile, and you can tear the legs off to give it a whole new profile. Ive never really been impressed with strike king's soft plastics.. I do want to try some of the Reaction Innovations Sweet Beavers as Ive still yet to buy some.

Take a look through the BPS catalog at how many brush hog imitatiors there are. The rage hawg is pretty darn close.

The two on the left are KVD Rodents, by Strike King (from BPS). The one on the right is a BPS Tournament Series River Bug. I'll give 'em a try at Choke Canyon. Cloud Dancer glad you picked up some of our SK baits, they will bite them down at Choke. Good Luck Debra

You are correct sir, the fishing industry is as cut throat as it gets, my point is RI spent good money for a patent and SK and others jumped on the bandwagon of there success , you have to admit when the sweat beaver first came out it was quite original, but then again i'm sure Nick Creme thought the same with his plastic worm and so on.......

The rodents are nice, but they are more dense than a beaver. I like the coffee scent, but a rodent glides differently in the water than others I think. Still a great bait, and pretty tough.

Im not a fan of the Rodent myself, the plastic seems way to hard for me. Im a big fan of the Big Bites Yo Momma alot more durable in my mind
