It sings through the guides quite a bit. Suffix braid and Izor line braid are a lot quieter.

Try 20 or 25 pound test Halo. I use it for throwing jigs and really like it. I think it is as strong or stronger than CXX.

i fish 20 - 25 tournys a year. i use p-line 100% flouro on everything except a frog pole (p-line braid). seagar is good but knock on wood, i dont break off on fish with p-line. i have used seagar, i have no problems with it except the price. for the money i use p-line and respool about 4 times a year. if your flippin in heavy cover it doesnt matter what kind of flouro you use, you should keep an eye on your line and retie every so often.

Suffix Braid is the best braid IMO cast better easy to handle.

I have used Invizx and really like it also.

Seaguar and P-line are the only two fluorocarbon brands I use. There is no need for any others.

I use the Suffix Performance Braid Stretch 30 lb, I have not broke a fish off on it and I have caught quite a few big fish since using it.

Seaguar Invisx line is absolutely awesome. use a Palomar Knot for heavy baits or heavier line use a double Palomar to keep the tag end from slipping, you can also leave your tag end a little longer if you are clean areas. As for line failures you won't have one if you inspect your line. I retie after every decent fish, small fish (3lbs) and under you can fish all day with no reties. I retie every so often anyway because you never know when the next one will be the one. I see people complain seaguar line breaks on them and don't understand why. I have never had a failure. Even the 10lb test line is a bear to break off when you get it hung up. Don't let the price bother you. Back all your reels at least 50% then use the flouro on the remainder. If properly done your line will go twice as far and you won't ever come close to your backing knot. I respool my rods every spring and use them all year. Another note: I always store my rods inside the house. I suspect a lot of guys leave thiers in there boat and the heat breaks down the line over the summer.

The most important thing.. use the product you have confidence in. That will land you more sucess then anything else you can do.

Ok well I went fishin this morning and the very first cast with my combo that is in question for this thread (30# spiderwire braid w/ a 5ft leader of 20# berkley 100% fluorocarbon), as my chigger craw hit the water I looked down to mess with my trollin motor and I felt the "thump, thump" so I set the hook into his fish face and POW!!!! The line snapped at the knot where the braid and fluoro met.
The first time I tried a flouro leader on braid I tied a double uni knot, wet the hell out of it, pow!!! The second time was a san deigo knot, pow!!! This was the third, and last, it was a blood knot, wet.
I give up on leaders that is for sure, so I think I am either going with the seaguar or stayin with straight braid.

Oh did I mentionit was a tungsten weights on it. Anyone that uses tungsten weights knows they are pricey but worth it but when u lose one, it hurts

I use Abraiz X with a squirt of KVD Line and Lure Condition and always tie a San Diego Jam knot. 15lb on up, hard to break the stuff when you are trying.

In my opinion, braid is only for weeds/pads, and fluoro for everything else. Reason being: braid acts like a saw, which is great for cutting through weeds, but not good when your pulling it over wood and your line cuts in and becomes trapped.

Im not the foremost expert on this but i think there are actual leader line fluoros your supposed to use. Not the casting fluoro. When i tried this last year i also glued the not. Never had a break flipping beds with it. Used a double uni.

I have never tried the leader material, what makes it different? My local fishin hole is completely covered in cypress trees. I went ahead and fished the rest of the day with just braid and it did good

The leader material is stronger. It is not made for casting. It usually comes in a 25yard spool.
