Never used it but I like what the site has to say about it and how it works.Looks too simple, though. However, for $14.95 plus shipping until Feb 1, I might just jump in there and give it a shot in the dark.

It's a rubber sleeve that clamps over the bearing on the shaft that is adjustable so some resistance can be put on the shaft to keep it steady and not torque to the side. Basically makes the turning a little stiffer.

Actually it is called "Troll Perfect" and there are two high density plastic sleeves which provide adjustable control to stop that "side to side" steering torque, and "pedal battle" you get on from the trolling motor on high speed settings (just when you need it the most). Installs in 5 minutes and works great in the Texas wind. Some pro's have started to use them this season.

Pro-Line trolling motor in San Angelo carries them if you guys here want to look at one. I have one and it works well/as advertised.
