How far are you willing to drive? I'd hit the coast if at all possible. After this freeze thing is over of course.

have yu tried coleto creek? mostly stocked with bass,,,but catfish have been in there for 20 years---gotta be something biting in there....id be hitting the saltwater marshes for reds and trout during april and may--use shrimp and find some irregular depths or depressions in the bay

Yeah I have a couple of buddies that I fish with at coleto creek, we just cruze around the lake and take our minds off, I also go to ROCKPORT and p.o.c. And hit the back marshes to find those reds, thankyou for replying back.

I'd fish tivoli and Hog Bayou- some really nice blues in that body of water- mullet,perch and shad
