Nope. I fish days and a lot of nights. It really bears no importance in freshwater. Just go!

The fuller the better for night fishing. But that helps me see the stumps in Limestone

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed they do a little better on some phases, or if its coincidental. I just started keeping a log, so I dont really have enough info to prove a pattern.

I believe if you find the bait the fish are sure to follow. I know usually night fishing for me means skinny water with a couple live baits swimming under a balloon.

I fish on days when I can go fishing. And only on nights when it's dark.
Seriously, what Deerstrangler said - just get out there and fish whenever you can.

Never noticed a difference. I've had the gar tear up my live-bait with a new moon, too, so there's that. I like cloudy nights cuz a bright moon keeps me awake.

James,
Yes, this is true as to full moon or near it: ++++++++++++++++++++ But that helps me see the stumps in Limestone ++++++++++++++++++++
As to me, I don't have as good of catches in or near full moon. However, Ron noted something on his Crappie fishing & nearer new moon as to best results, that got me to thinking. Over the years, it seems the Yellows have hit better on nights on set lines in super dark nights, all the way back to that Spring Break of 1980 running with Newt (one of my YellowCat teachers).
Also I have noticed that the Gator Gars will run just ahead of the Yellows on YC days (nights) on my catfish calendar.
