I have a 2003 bass tracker and noticed yesterday that the livewell will fill but all the water drains out even with the boat in the water. There is a knob by the controls that says empty and auto.No matter where i put this it still drains out.Last week it was fine when i came home i flushed out system with a garden hose. There was no big garbage just alot of fish scales.Did i cause the problem there or is it a cable/valve malfunction?Any help would be great thanks!

Fish scales will cause it to leak. Sounds like a flowrite valve! You can try to back flush it with a hose, if thats still dont get it to stop your gonna have to pull it apart and clean it. Best way to prevent this is not to remove the drain screen inside the L/W.

In my older Ranger, I had similar problem. Took the valve apart and found that there was a flapper that had came loose. Reattached it and glued it down since the rubber was torn. Problem fixed.

a bass traqcker has a tube that fits in the drain hole. it also acts as an overflow so live wells won,t overfill. that tube or a plug is the only way to retain the water.

Try this site for some information. https://www.flow-rite.com/catalog/united-states/marine/valves/feedMost boats have this system and they offer a rebuild kit for them as well. But if I were you I would tear into your boat and see if you can locate what you have then try to either replace or rebuild. Keep in mind if your going to tear into your boat its a great time to upgrade and really clean it all up while you got it torn apart. I just ordered some upgrades and replacement parts from them today. Got to keep them monster bass I catch alive!!
Land was created to provide a place for boats to visit!! It is when pirates count their booty that they become mere thieves. ARRRRRR....
