I use them for trolling and catfishing. Everyone seems to think if it doesnt cost $100. its no good. But 30yrs ago rods like these were the best. There just fiberglass rods.

Real good mate for a Abu 5000. Good backbone and nice soft tip. I used them for a couple years and then went to a different rod that casted 3 oz of lead better. If I was still using smaller baits I would still use the TC rods. They are great for casting 1 to 2oz lead. Be sure you use the ugly yellow ones. The green ones are a little too limber IMO.

Their medium light action spinning rods are fantastic for white bass in the spring up the creeks. And if they get broken from the abuse, you don't feel like cryin' cuz you're not outa 100.00.

I have 7 of them with Abu Garcia Cardinals on them for white bass and 6 of them with Shimano SideStabs for my channel cats...
So yes, they work great!

I've got 4 of them I bought several years back. They are real good live bait and catfishing rods. Never broke one and they got some abuse put on them.
