 Fishing aroung texas city galveston area?

Are there any decent freshwater fishing spots around the texas city area? I usually fish in clear creek for bass and catfish but wondering if there are any other spots someone wouldn't mind sharing? There is a lake behind my house but haven't had much luck, few bass and gar. Thanks

yes as far as a little south of 45 if you go to challenger park off of west nasa rd. theres a decent sized area you can bank fish from. There is a boat ramp there too for kayaks and canoes. Have caught several off the little peir by the ramp.

Dickinsons Bayou has bass and Sheldon Lake isn't too far away. As for Clear Creek, it holds it's share of small bass.

yeah never caught any big ones out of there caught come decent sized kitties out of challenger park. Any good bank spots on dickinson bayou other than at 146?

I think there might be a ramp at hwy 3 (I believe). At the ramp there is always someone fishing. Good luck.

Make the drive to pearland and try tom bass park 1 and 2.Easy access and big fish are possible.
With out trucks...America stops!
