i have a 40 hp mariner motor that has steering cables on it. i want to know if this can be converted to a hand control motor. wanting to get rid of console on flatbootom.

It may get a little costly, but yes it can be done. Before you go searching for those parts that you are going to need, You might advertise for a motor swap. I get people all the time looking to add a console and steering in a flatbottom to get away from the tiller control. Advertise on this site and also try Craiglist. Never know what might just fall in your lap.
