Can anyone give some info on what the bass fishing is like with all this warm weather that we have been having. I know that the cold is coming but if I could know where and what they were doing that could at least give me a starting point. You can PM me if needed. Thanks.

I'll just say, you can always catch fish this time of year in little lake or atkins creek by throwing cranks and traps around docks...
there is no "too shallow" either.
I caught a few this past weekend throwing a manns 1- down the side of bulkheads from my kayak.

What the others said. Not much love on Conroe. Best way is to get out there and find them. I can occasionally find a few and may actually catch one that is keeper size.
An example, I fished Saturday afternoon, not a bump, talked to others who did the same thing, nada. Sunday morning, they bust another 40 lb bag.
Normal weekend on Conroe!

I caught 2 3 pounders while trying out my new GLX today from the south ramp in Walden...
Also hung another that would have gone somewhere from 6-8 (lost her at the bank while I was trying to negotiate the riprap).
all this right before dark with my my guides freezing over...

Well I can't wait to get some frezzing spray in my face and knock ice off the old rod eyes!!!!! MAN!!!! I'm going thursday and friday to pre fish so if anyone else is on the water and wants to share a hand warmer I'll be in the green and white ranger with the fast strike on it.
