So would you guys take a 2003 TR-21 over the 2004 ProCraft? In a heartbeat.

I have a 2007 210sp and it is fine. A bit heavy, but handles big water well due to the weight and deep hull. Fishes better than any boat I have owned becasue it has such good storage and deck space is very large. I have had both Procraft and Nitro and the nitro craftmanship is a lot different. the nitro is junk compaired ot the procraft. Even though they are made in the same place, there must be different standards like gel thickness and fiberglass usage. The Nitro is very thin in comparison and cracks the gel much easier. Something to think about - value on the procraft is bad since they are no longer made so it will make for a hard resale. Also, there is a lot of wood in the procraft and I believe the triton is 100% composite. As a current procraft 210 owner, I would take the TR-21 in a heartbeat! You'd be crazy if you didn't.
Glad to have taken..."the trash in the back!"

I understand your angle, but I will not be buying another boat for a very very long time! If this boat is what it appears in the pics and description as well as the low hours on the motor, I will not find myself wanting a bigger boat, or a faster boat....ever! (unless I win one) I dont have the money to play ring around the rosey with newish bass boats like a lot of guys here do. I want a boat that will allow me to fish all of the south Texas reservoirs comfortably, regardless of weather, and get me where I want to go with a purpose. I am pretty certain that this boat is as stable as it gets for a fishing platform. And if I can get 600-800 hours out of the Merc, what more can a guy ask for. Resale is not good for any boats right now, look at some of the 4-5 year old boats on the classifieds that were near $40,000-$50,000 new and theyre having a hard time getting 40% of what they paid for em. I think that as long as a guy is happy with what he's got and it works for him, the rest is really irrelevant. Plus I kind of like the idea of being out on the lake and not having the exact same boat as 100 other guys!...grin

Cub, If the price is right for you and you absolutely love the boat after you test it out and have no doubts about it, Then get it and enjoy it.

If you do buy it and it has a wood transom then pull the motor mounting bolts and reseal with a good below water line rated silicone. Make sure you get the threads too. Also, pull the aluminum cap off the transom and seal under it. One rule I have on my boat is if I drill a hole anywhere on the boat it gets slicone.
