South Lakes Park in Denton is stocked twice a month with trout. In another month or so the white bass will be running up Hickory Creek and Elm Fork out of Lewisville. You can go to Murrell Park on the north shore of Lake Grapevine and try the fishing trails for bass in the shallows. Catfish and carp can be caught from the shores of Isle du Bois State Park on Lake Ray Roberts, and if a lot of water is being released from the lake, the tailrace below Ray Roberts is good for several species.

I think a lot of people use some kind of power bait. I have caught them on can corn.

I hear North Lakes has some decent LM's in them. Those are the 2 tanks close to the golf driving range.

north lakes has a few fish in it, but bank fishing is pretty much a lost cause in the warmer temps because the moss gets so thick. Luckily i have a yak. this fish was just under 5lbs caught last summer.

I went to the south pond at South Lakes park this morning to see if I could catch some trout with my fly rod and got my first bass and crappie with a fly.

So small and cute!

I need to go give that pond a little attention. I've only fished it once a long time ago. There is another pond back behind good samaritan off of Ryan Road that has some real nice fish in it too.
