Anyone else notice that their selection in the stores has become lackluster? My local stores don't even have the KVD trebbles and he's their golden boy. I'm leaning more and more online and to cabelas. Is it just my stores here?

I have a BPS about 8-10 minutes away but I still drive the extra miles to Academy. I cant remember the last time BPS had a good cleance sale on lures. And I cant remember the last time BPS had everything I was lookin for in stock either.

In-store Cabelas is worse than BPS to me,unless your looking for musky or walleye lures here in Texas.

Wow, Cabelas here in KC is my goto store. They have a better selection than BPS to me. ON top of that you can get some good deals on clearence. They are definitely much less of a big box store than BPS.

I usually go to Academy for baits, they have better prices. But BPS does have some items that you cant get at other stores. I still go, it just depends what Im looking for.

BPS has better selections online than in the store and like Tackle Warehouse online even better.

plus 1. I don't get why anyone would order online through BPS instead of Tackle Warehouse. No tax, free shipping, just as fast if not faster to the door, no extra fee for rods, and on and on... I have yet to want somethig that TW didn't have either.

BPS is more of a clothing, camping and [censored] store rather than a fishing tackle outlet. Their fishing dept gets smaller every year and they want to sell you their BPS brand rather trhan the one you want. I go to Academy or online.

You guys r so funny, u crack on BPS for trying to sell their brand while talking about how much u like Academy... Last I was at Academy almost half of the one hard bait isle was H2O stuff... a little consistency would be refreshing.... Everyone is out to make a buck, and they all want to sell as much as they can for as much as they get away with... BPS has more selection so thats where I shop. Academy has better specials, so thats also where I shop. Dicks ripped me off one time so thats NOT where I shop. Jsut like the retailers, I am in it for whats best for my pocketbook...

I get as much as I can at Academy, but BPS does have a bigger selection of tackle over all so I do end up going there alot also!
I think my Academy has only 5 or 6 colors of the Strike King Red Eye Shads I like, BPS has like 3x's that, luckily Academy has 2 of the colors I like so it works out most of the time!

I have resorted to just buying stuff online. I can get everything I want without having to run to multiple stores. If tackle warehouse doesn't have it, you can go to another site in about 30 seconds and be done and have it all at your door in a few days!

guess it depends on the store in your area. Our cabelas sucks on selection and never has any of the new items but BPS has a great slection and new items pretty fast. I for one hate the service at cabelas. Now I will say if I need any type of clothing for hunting etc I get it at cabelas and their guideware rain gear is the best on the market.

I don't owe BPS anything. When I need something I put a note in my phone. A couple times a month I check the list on the phone and I order online usually. I'm approx.70 miles from BPS and Cabela's and I am there at least once a month, usually more. I wander through and usually don't get anything except ideas.
