Got on the lake for the first time this year, of maaaaany to come. Fished a bit (30 min) for a deep bite with a jig, nothing. Picked up a crank bit and moved up a bit, after about 20 casts it appeared that a rogue might be a better choice. 3 cast later with the rogue- BOOM, "get the net"! Hit it hard, ran directly to deep water then I finally turned her (cold water had her tuckered out pretty quick). Slid her right into the net. Football! Weighed her, gave her a bath, took a few pics and released her quickly. 9.6 lbs
Re-situated and 3 cast later BOOM, "get the net"! This one rolled about 30 ft from the boat and it was big, too. Got her in and she weighed 7.8 lbs
Great day, boated 6 fish. Top 5 weighed 33 lbs.
