I have bought my last 2 boats with no test drive but I did do compression tests on them first.

If the test drive is not a option see about taking it to a local shop for a prepurchase inspection and let someone qualified check the motor, hull, transom and electronics

unless it is a necessity I will not finance it. My house will be paid off in 5 years and at that point I will borrow money to buy a boat.

of the two the aluminum one is your best bet, still lookin at at least 1,000.00 to rehab it and get it resaleable.

I HOPE THAT I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG BY RESPONDING, BUT I MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN BOTH BOATS IF THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE, AND IF THEY BOTH HAVE TITLES TO BOATS AND MOTORS.

the aluminum one sold that day and another forum member was interested in the bass boat. I just sent him a PM to see if he purchased it. If he did not i will forward you what the ad said and the contact information.

Your not doing anything wrong at all.. Now if i said on here that i was going to pick it up and you ran the tag number and beat me to it, that would be worth fighting over... smile

Those old Nitros were a piece of [censored]. Stay away from them!!! You would be better off buying an old Ranger or Skeeter for $4k - $5k. Just look a little bit. There are some good deals out there.
